Anne Smith, painter, printmaker.
Arrived in Australia in 1971.
Studied Fine Art in the UK in the late ‘60s, studied etching at Sydney University Arts Workshop and set up an etching studio in Sydney in 1984. Moved to Wentworth Falls in 1987 and set up etching studio and she has been collaborating with Garry Shead, Wendy Sharpe Bernard Ollis and the late Allan Peascod on editions of etching since then, as well as producing her own etchings and oils.
Anne Smith has had solo exhibitions in Australia, Japan and the UK and has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in Sydney and in Regional Galleries around Australia.
She was a finalist in the Blake Prize Exhibition at the S.H. Irwin Gallery, Sydney and the Portia Geach Portrait prize.
She has work in collections of the Faculty of Law UTS Sydney,Newscorp Collection, Murdoch private collection, St George Medical Centre, Abbotsleigh School collection.
