Art has been in Trudie's blood since school days, and she has worked in all mediums. In 2006 she was introduced to Encaustic art, and a love affair using coloured beeswax as a medium, began. Trudie entered her paintings into exhibitions, progressing from small works on card, to large canvases. As a result her art created increasing interest in this fascinating medium.
Unlike the American method of encaustic art where wax is applied in layers onto boards,Trudie practises the English style where paintings are created using a small adapted travel iron!!. Trudie is regularly invited to donate her artworks for corporate charity events, and has exhibited at The TAP Gallery Darlinghurst, The Archetype at Paddington, G.P. on Ebley Bondi Junction, Faulconbridge Farm Gallery, and The Edge. Trudie enjoys inspiring others, & has taught wax art for womens' health, neighbourhood centres, bush fire recovery, and Cancer help.
